Get Ready for Your First Beginners Guitar Lessons
Beginners Guitar Lessons – An Introduction
The first essential requisite to taking beginners guitar lessons is to get your own guitar. How many guitarists do you think started learning the guitar by borrowing others’ guitars? None, practically! The logic for this is simple – practice is the most important part of the learning process, and with your own guitar the practice will be an much easyer task. You do not necessarily have to get yourself an expensive guitar; you can even buy a second hand and get a better guitar when you are getting better to play it. Once you have bought yourself a guitar, you can actually start taking beginners guitar lessons. The beginners guitar lessons are guitar classes taught to beginners so they get familiar with the basics of the guitar and how to play it. The first thing you will be taught is not always how to play the guitar, but what the different parts of the guitar are called and used for.
Basic Steps to Beginners Guitar Lessons
After teaching you the different parts a guitar and its functions, the next thing beginners guitar lessons learn you are the different names of the strings on the guitar. The strings create the sounds on the guitar when you strike them. After you’ve learned about the strings, the next step in beginners guitar lessons is to learn the different ways to play the guitar – standing, sitting, etc. – and the postures within. While learning the postures, you also learn how to hold the guitar, and the correct positioning and grip for both of your hands. Once you are through with learning the basics, the next thing that you can learn in beginners guitar lessons is actually how to use the guitar – how to form the different chords, how to strike the strings so you get the right sound, etc.
Beginners Guitar Lessons – Guitar Theory is not a Prerequisite!
Basically, the need for guitar theory knowledge depends on your level of interest in the guitar. If you are planning to play the guitar for full-time, it makes most sense to know most of the theoretical parts of it as well. But if you are taking guitar lessons just as something you want to learn so you can play some of your favorite numbers, then it would make more sense just to go ahead with the online beginners guitar lessons alone and learn the different scales and chords.

I also agree that guitar theory is not totally needed for those people who just want to play basic chords notes and songs. However, if you want to become more professional and become a true guitarist, learning all you can about the theory of music will is the only way to go.
