Cool post! Playing Stairway in a store is definitely a big NO-NO. I agree a couple of bars of Enter Sandman is cool. Especially if you’re trying out a rock guitar or amp so you can hear what it sounds like.

Beginners should have some solid Strumming Patterns at least so even though they only know a few chords it’ll still groove and sound good.

The more guitar sites that are available, especially for the beginning guitarist with free tips and articles are rare these days. But there are some nice posts on this site. Keep up the good work.

It’s true there is some different opinions about that, some thinks it’s ok, while others are tired of it, but if you play it really well and don’t play the same rhythm for ten minutes it should be okay.

I wrote a PS. on using it in stores, but leaves it up as I think that some still would learn to play the riff.

From what I’ve read lately, Enter Sandman is one of those like Stairway & Smoke that shouldn’t be played anymore.
